Do Pakistanis Need a Visa for Malaysia?
Yes. Pakistan is on the official visa-required country list of the Malaysian Immigration Department. Visa on arrival is not available for Pakistani passport holders — a valid visa must be obtained before traveling.
There are two ways to get a Malaysia visa from Pakistan:
Option 1 — Malaysia eVisa (Recommended): A fully digital process — your visa is issued electronically and delivered via email. No embassy visit required. Akhtar Travel handles the complete submission on your behalf.
Option 2 — Sticker Visa (Dropbox Route): Documents are physically submitted through our office as an Authorized Dropbox Agent. Your passport is returned with a visa sticker upon approval. No need to visit the Malaysian High Commission yourself. For most Pakistani travelers, the eVisa route is faster, simpler, and our most requested service.
Malaysia eVisa Types for Pakistani Citizens
1. Single Entry eVisa — Tourist / Social Visit
For Pakistani travelers visiting Malaysia for tourism or a short social visit, the Single Entry eVisa is the main option to consider.
- Validity: 90 days from date of issue
- Stay Allowed: Up to 30 days per entry
- Entries: One time only
- Delivered: Electronically — print a copy or save on your phone
- Best For: Tourists, first-time visitors, family travelers
2. Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) — Business / Repeat Visitors
Malaysia has previously offered Multiple Entry Visa options for certain travelers and travel purposes. However, Malaysian Immigration announced a change to Multiple Entry Visa availability on 2 September 2026.
Pakistani applicants should therefore not assume that a Multiple Entry eVisa is currently available. If your travel plans require repeated entry into Malaysia, contact Akhtar Travel before applying so the current visa option can be checked for your case.
3. Transit Through Malaysia
If you are travelling through Malaysia on the way to another country, whether you need a visa depends on how your transit is arranged.
Travelers who remain within the permitted airport transit area and do not pass through Malaysian Immigration may have different requirements from travelers who need to enter Malaysia, collect baggage, change terminals or stay in the country during transit.
Before travelling, check your airline itinerary, airport transfer arrangements and the current Malaysian Immigration requirements. If you are unsure whether your itinerary requires a visa, Akhtar Travel can review the travel route before you apply.
Malaysia eVisa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens
Pakistani applicants should prepare clear and readable digital copies of the documents required for their Malaysia eVisa application.
Essential Documents (All Applicants)
| Document | Specification |
| Original Passport | Minimum 6 months validity from travel date; bring old passports too if available |
| Passport Copy | Clear scan/copy of bio-data page |
| CNIC | Both sides, clear copy |
| Passport-Size Photographs | 2 recent photos, white background, 35×45mm |
| Visa Application Form | Filled and signed — we prepare this for you at our office |
| Confirmed Return Flight Ticket | Proof of departure from Malaysia |
| Hotel Booking Confirmation | For full duration of stay (or host invitation letter with Malaysian ID) |
Additional documents may be requested during the assessment of an application. Applicants should make sure that the information provided in the application matches their passport and supporting documents.
Financial and Supporting Documents
Depending on the applicant’s profile, travel plans and circumstances, financial or other supporting documents may be requested. These can include:
| Document | Specification |
| Bank Statement | Last 6 months — printed on bank letterhead, signed and stamped by bank officer |
| Account Maintenance Letter | From your bank, signed and stamped |
| Minimum Balance | PKR 300,000+ (individual) / PKR 700,000–1,000,000 (family) |
Important: Avoid making large sudden deposits just before applying. A consistent balance history over several months is what matters — not a fresh lump sum.
Employment / Income Proof
| Applicant Type | Required Document |
| Employed | Job letter on company letterhead + last 6 months’ salary slips |
| Self-Employed | Business letterhead visa request letter + NTN certificate copy |
| Student | University enrollment letter + NOC from institution |
| Housewife / Retired | Sponsor’s bank statement + relationship proof |
Additional Documents for Family Applications
Family applications may require additional documents depending on the travelers and their circumstances. These can include:
- Family Registration Certificate (FRC) or Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC)
- Children’s Birth Certificates (when traveling with minors)
- NOC from Absent Parent — notarized on PKR 100 stamp paper (for single parent traveling with child)

Apply for Malaysia eVisa with an Authorized Visa Dropbox Agent
Akhtar Travel & Tours is an authorized Malaysia Visa Dropbox Agent in Pakistan with experience assisting Pakistani travelers with Malaysia visa applications.
For Malaysia eVisa applicants, our team can help check document requirements, review application information and identify missing or inconsistent documents before submission.
Our head office in Islamabad handles the main visa work, while applicants in other cities can contact our branches across Pakistan for assistance.
Malaysia eVisa applications are processed through the applicable Malaysian visa system. Akhtar Travel provides application assistance and document guidance, while the final decision on every application is made by the relevant Malaysian authorities.
Malaysia eVisa Fee from Pakistan
The total cost of a Malaysia eVisa application can include the applicable visa fee and other application or service charges.
Contact Akhtar Travel before applying to check the current total amount in Pakistani rupees. Applicable charges and exchange rates can change.
Payment and submission of an application do not guarantee visa approval. The final decision is made by the relevant Malaysian authorities.
Fees include the Malaysian government visa charge. Our service charges are separate. Call or WhatsApp us for the exact current rate before applying — fees vary with exchange rate.
Malaysia eVisa Processing Time
Malaysia eVisa applications are generally processed within 2 to 7 working days after payment and complete submission. Akhtar Travel & Tours may also provide assistance within 24 hours, subject to complete and accurate documents, application requirements and the applicable visa process.
Working days do not include weekends, public holidays, Malaysian holidays and other applicable holidays. Processing can take longer in circumstances such as additional document requests, further assessment or events outside the normal processing process.
Applicants should apply well before their planned departure date rather than relying on the minimum processing period.
Best advice: Apply at least 2–3 weeks before your travel date to avoid any last-minute pressure. During Eid holidays and summer season, apply even earlier.
Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
Malaysia requires all incoming international visitors — including Pakistanis — to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before arrival. This is a separate step from your visa.
What is MDAC? An online pre-arrival registration where you submit your travel details to Malaysian Immigration before boarding your flight.
Key Points:
- Must be completed within 3 days before your arrival date
- Free of charge
- Done online — takes a few minutes
- Immigration officers verify it on arrival
Our Service: When you apply through Akhtar Travel, we guide you through MDAC completion as well — so nothing is missed before you fly.
Common Issues That Can Delay an eVisa Application
Application processing can be affected when information or supporting documents are incomplete, unclear or inconsistent.
Before submission, check for:
- Passport details that do not match the application
- Blurry or unreadable uploaded documents
- Missing travel or accommodation information
- Incomplete supporting documents
- Insufficient passport validity
- Missing documents requested after submission
Malaysian authorities may request additional information or further assessment before making a decision. Submitting a complete application can reduce avoidable delays, but it does not guarantee approval.
Important Notes for Pakistani Travelers
- Visa on arrival is not available — apply before you travel
- Duration of stay is stamped at the airport by the immigration officer — typically up to 30 days for tourists
- Extension of stay in Malaysia is generally not granted to Pakistani tourists
- Overstaying your visa carries heavy penalties — fines, detention, deportation, and entry ban
- Carry your return ticket and proof of funds when you travel — immigration may ask on arrival
Complete your MDAC within 3 days before arrival (we help you with this)
